    Description

    Unpaid, Remote

    We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to building inclusive and accessible digital experiences. We’re looking for a volunteer Accessibility Specialist to help us identify and address accessibility barriers across our website and digital content.What You’ll Do:

    • Audit our website and applications for accessibility issues.
    • Document findings and recommend solutions based on WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 standards.
    • Collaborate with our design and development teams to implement best practices.
    • Support the creation of internal accessibility guidelines and workflows.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • 2-3 Years experience conducting accessibility reviews in previous roles (professional, academic, or project-based).
    • Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., WAVE, AXE, Lighthouse) and assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).
    • Strong understanding of accessibility standards; certifications are a plus.
    • Passion for digital inclusion.

    Time Commitment:

    • Between 10–15 hours/week, flexible and remote.
    • For OPT/CPT volunteers: 20+ hours/week, flexible and remote.
