Location: Marlin, TX (and surrounding service areas)

Commitment: Flexible Scheduling, 1–4 visits per month

Age Requirement: 15+ (18+ for pet therapy teams preferred)

Make a Meaningful Difference Through Companionship

AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to provide friendly companionship and emotional support to a male hospice patient. Simple visits can have a profound impact by reducing feelings of isolation, providing social connection, and bringing comfort during a challenging time.

The patient enjoys conversation and would especially benefit from visits from someone willing to share stories, listen, and offer a caring presence. Volunteers with a certified, well-behaved therapy dog are encouraged to apply, as animal visits may provide additional comfort and joy.

What Volunteers Do

• Visit with a hospice patient in their home or care facility
• Engage in friendly conversation and active listening
• Share hobbies, interests, stories, or light recreational activities
• Offer emotional support and companionship
• If approved, provide pet therapy visits with a gentle, vaccinated therapy dog

No Medical Experience Required

We provide comprehensive hospice volunteer training at no cost. Volunteers are never asked to provide hands-on personal care, administer medications, or perform medical duties.
