Schedule: Every Saturday, 13:30 – 17:30

🌿 About the “Irodori” Cultural Room
The Irodori Cultural and Manga Study Room is a unique space located inside the beautiful National Botanical Garden of Viña del Mar.
Our mission is to promote Japanese culture, creativity, and intercultural exchange, with a special focus on manga, language, and traditional arts.
“Irodori” (彩り) means “color” or “vibrancy”, reflecting our goal of creating a lively, welcoming space where visitors can experience Japanese culture in a hands-on way.
We receive visitors of all ages — families, students, and tourists — offering an interactive and meaningful cultural experience.
✨ What You’ll Do
As a volunteer, you will help create engaging cultural experiences for visitors:
- Teach visitors how to write their names in Japanese (basic kana/kanji introduction)
- Lead simple and fun origami workshops
- Explain what manga is, including its history and cultural significance
- Help set up and organize the space before and after each session
- Support Japanese cultural events in and around the room
- (Optional) Assist with social media content related to the Irodori space
- Help decorate the space according to seasonal or cultural themes
🌏 Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for people who:
- Have an interest in Japanese culture
- Enjoy interacting with the public (children, families, tourists)
- Are proactive, responsible, and friendly
Basic Japanese language skills are required, along with a general understanding of Japanese culture (no advanced level needed).
