Corporate Sponsored Clean-up of Inner-city Detroit Neighborhood - a Focus on Positive Change

Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of low to-moderate income families who live in the inner-city neighborhoods of Detroit, Michigan.

In an effort to improve the quality of life for residents on one particular block on the N.E. side of Detroit, UDC we are calling upon the Corporate Employee Volunteer Teams throughout the Metropolitan area.

We are in need of help with landscape tasks: debris "blight" removal, cutting down overgrown vegetation, trimming of brushes and weedwacking and cutting of grass. Additionally, are at the initial phase of rehabbing a few houses for which we could utilize an additional helping hand.

This represents an opportunity for Employee Volunteer Teams to come out for 3 to 4 hours to help a community very much in need and have fun while doing so, engage with co-workers outside of work and contribute byway of philanthropic giving.
