    Description

Tiny Cat Animal Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster-based 501(c)(3) rescuing at-risk cats and supporting community cats across DC, MD, and VA.

By volunteering with TCAR, you’ll help shape how our work gets done, with real room to try ideas and make them yours.

The role: Set TCAR's fundraising direction and guide a small team of development volunteers (Grants, Donor Relations, Events & Campaigns, Partnerships & Sponsorships, Communications). You'll work with the Executive Director and Board to turn organizational priorities into a realistic revenue plan.

    What you'll do

    • Build and refine our annual fundraising strategy and revenue goals
    • Guide volunteers on grants, campaigns, sponsorships, and messaging
    • Cultivate donor and corporate relationships
    • Track results and report progress to the Executive Director and Board

You might be a great fit if you…

    • Have experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or advancement
    • Are a clear writer and a strategic thinker who likes setting goals and measuring them
    • Enjoy coaching others and building relationships
    • Are self-motivated and comfortable figuring things out as you go, and ask for help when you need it

    What you'll get

    • Leadership experience running a multi-person development function, useful for anyone moving toward a nonprofit management role
    • A direct line to the Executive Director and Board
    • Real influence over revenue strategy, not just task execution
    • Experience coaching and managing volunteers
    • A concrete accomplishment to cite, such as "grew annual revenue by X%"
    • A supportive, collaborative volunteer team
    • Flexible, remote-friendly scheduling
    • A chance to see direct impact

Commitment: About 5-10 hours a week, flexible schedule, remote.
