    Description

Are you an adult over 60 looking for a meaningful way to connect with the younger generation right from the comfort of your own home? FriendshipWorks invites you to become a Practice Buddy with younger students from the City Strings organization in Boston!

You can be a source of encouragement and inspiration as they practice their musical skills with you during remote calls or virtual meetings. Whether you're a music enthusiast or just someone who enjoys being a friendly mentor, your role as a Practice Buddy can make a huge difference in a student's musical journey.

Volunteers should expect to make one 15-20 minute telephone call per week for at least a semester (September-December or January-June).

To get started, please visit https://fw4elders.org/get-involved/ and click the link to fill out an interest form. You should expect a call from a City Strings staff person in approximately a week after submitting an application.
