Board Members Wanted — Children Across America

Location: Milford, MA (serving Blackstone Valley, South Shore, and beyond)

Children Across America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking two new Board Members to help us grow and continue providing free literacy, STEM/STREAM, and healthcare support programs to underserved children.

Most of the kids we serve are first-generation Americans and minorities who lack access to the resources other children enjoy. We call our mission Educational Equity—leveling the playing field so every child has the chance at a great education and a successful life. Programs like our Girls Love to Code Club (ages 4–9) not only boost reading and math skills but also help close the gender gap in STEM.

What We’re Looking For

• Passionate about helping underserved children.
• Willing to lend your business experience, leadership, and fundraising skills.
• Actively engaged in supporting our mission and events.
• Based in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Board Member Expectations

• $19/month subscription (supporting our sustainability).
• Raise at least $5,000 annually through personal donations, fundraising, sponsorships, or in-kind contributions. (Easily achievable with dedication—corporate partners like Staples and DCU for Kids have donated tens of thousands in supplies and laptops.)

This is a chance to make a real difference and help scale a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit that’s opening new locations in Bridgewater/Brockton, Dorchester, Randolph, and Canton.
