Role Overview
FYAR is seeking a motivated HR Coordinator Volunteer to support our people operations and help welcome new volunteers to our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain practical experience in human resources while contributing to a meaningful cause. The HR Coordinator will assist with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and administrative HR functions to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the volunteer recruitment process, including posting opportunities and screening applications.
- Schedule and facilitate interviews and onboarding sessions for new volunteers.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and update HR databases and tracking systems.
- Support the preparation of orientation materials, policies, and volunteer handbooks.
- Monitor volunteer attendance, engagement, and performance, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Assist in organizing training sessions, team meetings, and recognition initiatives.
- Respond to volunteer inquiries and provide ongoing support throughout their engagement.
- Collaborate with department leads to identify staffing needs and allocate volunteers accordingly.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of personal information and documentation.
- Contribute ideas to improve volunteer experience and HR processes.
Ideal Skills or Candidate
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
- Experience with HR administration, recruitment, or volunteer coordination is an advantage but not required.
- A background or ongoing studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Passion for community service and supporting organizational growth.
