***Multiple roles available***
Mercy Center is looking to expand our volunteer base for the following roles as we are building our new building:
- Sort and inspect all donated food items for quality and safety. Organize items on shelves and remove any expired or damaged goods. Ensure that the pantry maintains a clean and organized inventory.
- Keep shelves well-stocked with a variety of food items. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the pantry manager about items that need replenishing. Maintain a visually appealing and easily accessible display.
- Assist neighbors in selecting their food items based on dietary restrictions, preferences, family size, and pantry restrictions. Provide guidance on nutrition and help answer any questions neighbors may have.
- Transport donated food items from collection points to the food pantry. Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure that food is received in a timely and safe manner.
People who are non-judgmental and kind are encouraged to apply!
