Program Summary: 2Life is looking for a volunteer to teach weekly or biweekly chair yoga classes for residents! We are searching for experienced yogis comfortable teaching a beginner to intermediate chair yoga for an interested population. For older adults, exercise is an essential activity that has a profound impact on the quality of their life. to prioritize mobility, balance, and mental and physical health. Our residents would be interested in both focusing on relaxation and focusing on poses for strength and flexibility. The goal is to improve aerobic capacity, flexibility, and muscle strength from the stability of chairs.

It helps improve strength and balance to keep doing your day to day activities, and prevents or delays diseases. For many, fitness activities and health workshops are also opportunities to reduce social isolation.
