Volunteers play a vital role in providing comfort and support to patients and their families. Your presence and assistance can truly brighten someone's day!

What You'll Do:

• Warm Welcomes: Greet patients and visitors with a smile as they enter the infusion clinic. Let them know you're here to help throughout their treatment journey.
• Refreshment Delight: Offer a variety of refreshments like coffee, juice, water, and snacks. Use a charming tea cart to serve and keep the coffee machine filled and ready!
• Comfort Care: Sanitize infusion chairs after each patient leaves, ensuring a clean and cozy environment.
• Entertainment: Provide patients with magazines or books to enjoy during their stay.
• Cozy Warmth: Fill blanket warmers to keep patients snug and comfortable.
• Team Collaboration: Stay in close contact with nursing personnel to address the needs of patients and their families.
• Assistance: Help functionally independent patients when they leave the clinic, offering wheelchairs when necessary.
• Orderly Environment: Maintain a tidy and welcoming waiting room.
• Celebrations: Assist with patient celebrations, such as birthdays, and support staff with various errands.
• Compassionate Listening: Offer a listening ear and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Safe and Compassionate Care: Work with staff to create a safe and compassionate environment, embodying Corewell Health Lakeland’s mission, vision, and values.
• Continuous Improvement: Commit to enhancing the patient experience, focusing on safety, quality of care, and excellent service. Adhere to the organization’s values at all times.
