    Description

Are you an OT looking for a unique way to combine travel, service, and clinical experience?

Therapy Volunteers International (TVI) is a nonprofit founded by a leading pediatric therapy clinic in Chicago with a bold mission: bring life-changing therapy services to children in underserved regions of the world. Our flagship program is in Belize, where we partner with the Ministry of Education and Autism Belize to deliver high-quality, no-cost therapy to children with autism, cerebral palsy, and developmental delays.

We’re looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) ready to step into a role that will stretch your clinical skills, deepen your purpose, and expand your global impact. You’ll work side by side with a multidisciplinary team—BCBAs, SLPs, and PTs—providing direct services, mentorship, and training that shape the future of special education in Belize.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Deliver targeted occupational therapy to a diverse pediatric population
    • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
    • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educators on home programming
    • Consult with Special Education Officers and lead trainings for teachers across Belize
    • Supervise student clinicians and volunteers (when present)
    • Problem-solve, adapt, and lead with empathy in a cross-cultural context

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A licensed OT with pediatric experience
    • Willingness to relocate to Belize for 4-12 months+
    • Clinical excellence, strong collaboration skills, and cultural humility
    • Eligibility to supervise graduate student clinicians
    • A sense of adventure, resilience, and genuine passion for global service

    This Opportunity Includes:

    • Paid housing and travel reimbursement
    • CEUs and ongoing professional development
    • A monthly stipend to cover living expenses
    • A tight-knit, mission-driven team and an unforgettable professional experience

This position is in-person in Belize. We welcome applicants from anywhere who are ready for a purposeful change.

Apply now to make your next move your most meaningful one.
