At AFS-USA, we believe that intercultural understanding is the key to a more peaceful world. As a leader in international exchange for decades, we connect students from over 80 countries with families right here in the U.S. and send students abroad to create global citizens. None of this is possible without our incredible network of volunteers.

Whether you have two hours a week or two hours a month, there is a place for you in the AFS-USA community.

How You Can Make a Difference:

• Mentor & Support: Guide exchange students and local host families through their life-changing cultural journeys.
• Inspire Local Youth: Interview U.S. students dreaming of studying abroad and help them take their first steps into the world.
