Volunteer Opportunity: Friendly Visitor
Providence PACE is seeking a compassionate volunteer to provide social companionship to an older adult residing in an adult family home in the Bellevue area.
Volunteer Activities
- Engage in friendly conversation and social interaction
- Assist with simple arts, crafts, and coloring activities
- Offer encouragement and companionship during visits
- Help maintain engagement in enjoyable hobbies and interests
Volunteer Qualifications
- Patient, dependable, and compassionate
- Comfortable interacting with older adults experiencing memory-related challenges
- Able to redirect conversations and provide gentle support when attention wanders
- Enjoy building meaningful connections
Commitment
- In-person visits
- Female volunteer preferred
- Flexible scheduling coordinated with the care team and residence
