    Description

Hospice Compassus is looking for volunteers who love to sew, and want to share their skills with hospice patients and families.

A Memory Bear sewn by a volunteer with compassion and love, is a forever friend who can ease a hurting heart after the death of a Hospice Compassus hospice patient.

The Memory Bear is sewn from a patient's favorite pair of jeans, sports jersey, dress, work uniform, or shirt. The Memory Bear can evoke the the closeness of a loved one, bring a smile to someone in distress, or a sense of security to a child who feels along who feels alone after the loss of a parent, or sibling.

This is a great opporunity you to give back to your community by using your creative skills, and strengthen your resume.

Hospice Compassus provides coverage within the folling counties Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks.

Please reach to Kathleen OConnor (215 557 7300) our volunteer coordinator who will be able to answer any questions, and provide information on the onboarding process to become one of our volunteers.
