Join us at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to help protect and preserve an important natural resource of Central Indiana--Fall Creek! We will be removing litter along the banks of the creek and under Keystone Bridge, where it often collects within vegetation. By picking up litter we will beautify our city while protecting our local ecosystems, including our soil, waterways, plants, and wildlife, from pollution. Litter prevention is one of the easiest things we can do to keep our city clean, but it takes all of us doing our part!
Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing, long sleeves and pants, and sturdy boots, as we will be working on a steep slope with dense vegetation. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide all supplies, such as litter grabbers, gloves, and trash bags. Rubber boots will be available for those who want to walk along muddy slopes to help pick up litter.
Parking + Facilities: Parking will be available at the Fall Creek FIshing OUT parking lot. A portalet will be provided.
