    Description

    We are looking for a Volunteer PR Manager to help elevate the visibility and impact of Dream Factory of Brooklyn. This role will focus on developing and executing public relations strategies to enhance brand awareness, media outreach, and community engagement.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement PR strategies to increase public awareness of Dream Factory of Brooklyn.
    • Pitch and secure media coverage in local and national outlets.
    • Write and distribute press releases, media alerts, and story pitches.
    • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
    • Monitor media coverage and track PR metrics.
    • Support social media efforts with PR-aligned messaging.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and fundraising teams on promotional campaigns.
    • Assist with event promotion and public relations efforts for fundraising initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be based in New York.
    • Experience in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field.
    • Strong writing and storytelling skills.
    • Media relations experience, including pitching and securing press coverage.
    • Ability to develop creative PR strategies.
    • Passion for nonprofit work and community engagement.
