    Description

Pro Bono Attorney + Legal Intern (Community Family Support) Younger Legacy Academy

Younger Legacy Academy (YLA) is seeking both a volunteer attorney and a legal intern who believe in justice, truth, and community empowerment. This opportunity supports our founders as well as the many families in our programs who are going through hardship and cannot afford representation.

Your legal support becomes a lifeline for real people facing real struggles.

    Primary Responsibilities for the Attorney

    • Support family-related legal matters, including a defamation situation connected to false accusations made during a difficult period.
    • Provide guidance on filings, motions, and county-level needs for our founders.
    • Offer counsel to YLA clients facing issues such as custody problems, conflict, eviction, unfair accusations, or crisis situations.
    • Help YLA stay compliant with nonprofit regulations as we expand our services.
    • Assist in building YLA’s long-term community legal-support department.

    Legal Intern Opportunity (Credit Provided)

We are also accepting one legal intern who wants real-world experience serving families in need.

    The intern will receive:

    • documented hours
    • mentorship and hands-on learning
    • a letter of completion and community credit issued through YLA
    • the chance to work closely with our volunteer attorney on meaningful cases
    • experience in family law, nonprofit operations, and community legal assistance

This is an excellent placement for a student who wants to grow, learn, and build a strong foundation while making a difference.

    Why This Matters

Families in our community often face legal trouble with no support. Many are low-income, single parents, or people overcoming trauma. By joining our team, you bring fairness, protection, and hope to households that desperately need someone in their corner.

Your work doesn’t just help one home it strengthens an entire community.

    Who We’re Looking For

    Someone who:

    • leads with compassion and integrity
    • believes everyone deserves fairness
    • wants a long-term relationship with a growing nonprofit
    • feels called to serve families who’ve been overlooked or mistreated
    • values truth, restoration, and community healing
