    Description

Do you believe in the healing power of music? As a Hospice Bedside Musician Volunteer, you will use your musical talents to bring comfort, peace, and emotional support to individuals nearing the end of life. Whether you play guitar, piano, violin, or another soothing instrument, your presence can provide profound moments of calm and connection.

You will visit patients in their homes, assisted-living facilities, or long-term care settings to offer quiet, personalized musical experiences-often playing softly at the bedside or in a common area. No performance or applause needed-just your compassionate presence and heartfelt music.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide gentle, live music to hospice patients in a one-on-one or small group setting.
    • Respect each patient’s preferences, energy levels, and emotional state.
    • Communicate with volunteer coordinator.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all hospice protocols and safety guidelines.
    • Submit brief visit notes as required by the hospice organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Proficient in a soothing musical instrument.
    • Comfortable playing soft, reflective music in calm and emotional settings.
    • Must be 16+ and complete hospice volunteer training.
    • Background check required.

    Location:

Our patients are located all over the Phoenix Valley. From personal homes, retirement communities, or assisted living facilities, we bring our services to wherever our patients call home.

    • Typical patient assignment is within 5-10 miles of volunteer's home
