As a pet therapy volunteer with AccentCare, you'll provide in-person companionship, comfort, and emotional support during end of life care. What You’ll Do:

• • Visit hospice patients with your therapy-certified dog or other approved therapy animal via AccentCare
  • Provide comfort, stress relief, and emotional support through gentle interaction
  • Build heartfelt connections with patients, families, and care teams
  • Bring warmth and happiness to those who may be isolated or lonely

Ideal For Volunteers Who:

• • Have a certified therapy pet (or are in the process of certification)
  • Enjoy connecting with people through their animal’s presence
  • Want to offer comfort in a calm, supportive, and compassionate way
  • Are reliable, patient, and comfortable in hospice environments

Requirements:

• • Pet must be a certified therapy animal through a recognized organization
  • Background check, TB test, and volunteer training required
  • Reliable transportation for in-person visits
