The Chicago Chapter of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) is seeking experienced, committed, and community-minded leaders to serve on our Board of Directors for the 2027–2028 term.
This is more than a volunteer opportunity. It is a chance to help shape the future of one of Chicago’s leading organizations dedicated to the advancement of Black professionals, entrepreneurs, and students.
We are seeking leaders who are passionate about professional development, community impact, leadership, and creating opportunities that elevate the next generation of Black talent.
Open Board Positions Include:
- President
- Vice President, Programming
- Vice President, Operations
- Treasurer
- Corresponding Secretary
- Recording Secretary
- Financial Secretary
Board members play an active role in:
- Helping guide chapter strategy and organizational growth
- Supporting professional development programming and events
- Strengthening partnerships and community engagement
- Assisting with operational and financial stewardship
- Contributing leadership, expertise, and ideas to help advance the mission of the organization
Ideal candidates are:
- Active professionals with leadership experience
- Passionate about service, mentorship, and community impact
- Collaborative, dependable, and solutions-oriented
- Interested in helping strengthen and grow Black professional networks in Chicago
Candidates should be members in good standing with the National Black MBA Association and demonstrate active engagement within the chapter. Prior Executive Committee experience is required for the office of President.
