    Description

    Music Therapy Volunteer

Offer music therapy to patients who are on hospice. Whether you play the guitar, piano, or even sign, we'd love to have you on our team!

We are looking for generous and loving volunteers to join our clinical staff and spend some quality time with our patients. As an integral part of our team, you will touch people's lives just by being you! No one should die alone, and often times a visitor from outside the family can help prolong a person's life! Music therapy is a great way to make a connection with a patient who is on hospice and does not have the strength to participate in other companionship activities like doing puzzles, playing board games, or knitting.

You're time is invaluable to the patient, their caregivers and our staff. We can only provide great care with you!

We offer flexible scheduling and commitments that work around your busy life!

Here are a few requirements Canyon has for its volunteers:

    • 18+ yrs of age

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

Please fill out the volunteer form on our website or send me a direct email regarding your interest in volunteering. I will schedule an in-person or online orientation where we will complete your onboarding paperwork. After, we'll have you do your online hospice training and well as complete your background check, fingerprints (if applicable), auto history check, and TB test (provided by Canyon). Once everything is complete, we'll make you a badge and you can begin volunteering!
