Video Editor & Creative Content Volunteer

The Average Scientist is looking for a creative volunteer video editor to help us build a new advertising and content library for our national touring theatre productions.

This is an opportunity to work directly with a growing live entertainment company that combines science, storytelling, theatre, music and immersive visuals to create unforgettable audience experiences across the UK.

Our flagship production, Wonders of Our Universe, tours nationally and has been seen by thousands of audience members. We are also developing new productions, international cruise partnerships, books, educational projects and digital content.

We're looking for someone who enjoys creating short-form video content and would like to help transform existing footage, audience reactions, testimonials, visuals and music into compelling social media advertisements.

What you would be doing:

• Creating short promotional videos for Facebook, Instagram and other platforms
• Editing audience testimonials and reaction footage
• Producing multiple creative variations for advertising campaigns
• Helping us build a long-term library of reusable marketing assets
• Contributing ideas and creative approaches rather than simply following instructions

What we're looking for:

• Some experience with video editing software
• Creativity and a good instinct for storytelling
• Reliability and good communication
• An interest in creating content that genuinely moves and inspires people
• A willingness to experiment and learn
