    Description

Pets for Life (PFL) is driven by social justice and guided by the philosophy that a deep connection with pets transcends socio-economic, racial and geographic boundaries, and no one should be denied the opportunity to experience the benefits, joy and comfort that come from the human-animal bond.

PFL has an opportunity for reliable volunteers to provide door to door pickup and return for community members' pets who have spay/neuter appointments at veterinary partner clinics. This role helps remove transportation barriers for families impacted by rising gas prices and limited access to veterinary care.

    Benefits of volunteering

Volunteers will develop or strengthen safe animal handling skills, strengthen communication and customer service skills, and learn the geography of your city. Volunteers will also better understand the role Pets for Life plays in addressing the critical lack of accessible, affordable pet care in under-served communities and to keep pets happy and healthy in their homes.
