    Description

    Description

Gain hands-on global health experience while supporting community-led programs in Peru.

Hands on Peru welcomes students, recent graduates, and emerging professionals to work alongside our local team at CESAPU, our community health center in Trujillo, Peru. Volunteers contribute to ongoing projects in public health, health education, community outreach, research, program development, and evaluation.

Placements are flexible and can be shaped around your academic interests and professional goals, making this a strong option for students exploring practicums, capstones, independent study, or other experiential-learning opportunities.

Please note: This is an unpaid, fee-based international internship program. Participants pay a program fee that helps cover the costs associated with their placement, including accommodations, meals, local transportation, airport pickup/drop-off, on-site coordination and support, and participation in Hands on Peru’s community programs.

    Program highlights:

    • Year-round, flexible start dates
    • Minimum stay of approximately one month
    • Hands-on community health experience
    • Opportunities to build research, program development, and cross-cultural skills
    • Potential academic credit depending on your university
    • Fee-based program that includes accommodations, meals, local transportation, airport pickup, and in-country support

Come to Peru to learn, contribute, and gain global experience beyond the classroom.
