Volunteer Opportunity – Food Pantry at The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army Food Pantry offers a relaxing and rewarding volunteer experience, and we are currently looking for volunteers to join our team!

Hours:

🕘 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

📅 Monday – Thursday

Volunteers report to our pantry at 1033 Bellows Road, where they will sign in and receive guidance for the day. Our Pantry Manager, Rebecca, will walk you through the tasks that need to be completed and pair you up with a current volunteer..

Volunteer Tasks May Include:

• Labeling grocery bags
• Filling bags with a provided list of groceries
• Assisting with loading carts
• Sorting and organizing food items
• Breaking down cardboard boxes
• Keeping the pantry clean and organized
• Unloading delivery trucks
• And most importantly—having fun while helping others!

This opportunity is perfect whether you’re looking to volunteer once, weekly, or monthly. We are flexible and happy to work with your schedule. If you are looking for a large pantry group outing, look at our Red Shield Community Pantry post for more information.

As grocery prices continue to rise, so does the need for free grocery assistance. By volunteering, you’ll play a direct role in helping families and children in our community.
