International Orthodox Christian Charities annual 5K Walk/Run fundraiser

International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) offers emergency relief and development programs to those in need worldwide, without discrimination. IOCC helps those who are suffering and in need, to enable them to continue to improve their own lives and communities and to have means to live with dignity, respect and hope.

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the 20th annual Walk The Walk For IOCC 5K Walk/Run fundraiser will take place along the lakefront path of beautiful Lake Michigan in Chicago. Volunteers will be needed to help check-in participants and to help distribute event t-shirts. We will also need volunteers outside to pass out water and to keep participants on the route. And of course, to help cheer on the runners and walkers!

Volunteers are needed from 8:00am til noon but, if necessary, volunteers may be able to leave at 11am.

A delicious free hot breakfast will be served to all participants and volunteers after the Walk/Run. Volunteers will also receive a free t-shirt to help commemorate the event.

Please come out to help support IOCC's global humanitarian relief efforts!
