    Description

    Corporate & Community Partnerships Lead

    ABOUT YES, M.I.S.S. INC.

Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preparing young women ages 14–21 for success in higher education and the workforce. We are growing - from one school partner to many, from Northern New Jersey to a national presence by 2030.

To get there, we need a sustainable funding base and a strong pipeline of school, corporate, and institutional partnerships. Today, most of our revenue comes from events. We are building toward a diversified model that includes grants, major donors, and corporate sponsorships.

    THE OPPORTUNITY

As Corporate & Community Partnerships Lead, you will own the external relationships that fuel Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc.’s growth - bringing in corporations, philanthropic companies, and community organizations as sponsors, in-kind donors, and volunteer partners. You will work closely with the Executive Director to identify and cultivate these relationships, and you will funnel corporate contacts directly into the volunteer pipeline. You will supervise the Business Development Intern.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in corporate partnerships, business development, sponsorship sales, or community relations who wants to apply those skills toward something that matters.

    WHAT YOU'LL OWN

    • School partnership development: identifying and cultivating relationships with principals, district administrators, and school counselors across Northern NJ
    • Corporate partnership pipeline: maintaining and growing relationships with HR and CSR contacts at current and prospective corporate partners
    • Corporate sponsorship outreach: identifying and pitching companies for event sponsorships, in-kind donations, and swag bag contributions
    • In-kind and community partnerships: securing product donations, venue support, and resources from philanthropic companies and community organizations
    • Volunteer pipeline: funneling corporate partner contacts directly to the Volunteer Engagement Manager for event recruitment
    • Partnership documentation: maintaining records of all corporate and community partner contacts, agreements, and relationship history
    • Onboarding and day-to-day supervision of the Business Development Intern

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • A relationship builder with experience in fundraising, development, sales, or strategic partnerships
    • Experience in sponsorship sales, corporate social responsibility, business development, or community partnerships
    • Strong written communication skills - you will be writing outreach emails and partnership proposals
    • Self-directed and comfortable managing a pipeline of multiple relationships simultaneously
    • Someone who is mission-aligned and can authentically represent Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. to external partners

    ROLE DETAILS

    Commitment: 12 months (renewable)

    Hours: 10–12 hours per week

Location: Primarily remote; in-person required for select events and partner meetings in Northern NJ

Reports to: Shanita Perdomo, Executive Director

    Supervises: Business Development Intern

Compensation: This is a volunteer leadership role. There is the possibility of compensation as grant funding and organizational capacity allow.

    WHAT YOU GAIN

    • Hands-on experience building a nonprofit's funding and partnership infrastructure
    • Expanded network through corporate partner engagement across multiple industries
    • A reference letter from the Executive Director upon completion
    • Recognition at Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. events and in organizational communications
