Volunteering for hospice is offering connection, compassion and care. Whether in person or from the comfort of your home your selfless act of volunteering with our patients on their end-of-life journey makes the world a much kinder and inclusive place.
We have in person roles of companionship visits, respite care and vigil sitting. We also have remote roles of pen pals, birthday cards and tuck in calls. All roles are scheduled around your availability and comfort level. The requirements are you need to be in the US and over 18. There is a background check using your driver's license, personal references and paperwork. For the in-person roles there are some health clearance papers and a TB test that we pay for. All roles have training as well.
