    Description

    Volunteer UI/UX Designer

    • Location: Remote
    • Commitment: 5–10 hours per week (flexible schedule)
    • Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extension)
    • Compensation: Unpaid / Volunteer (portfolio credit + reference letter provided)

    About the Role

    We are looking for a Volunteer UI/UX Designer to help create intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design, usability, and solving real-world problems through thoughtful interfaces.

    You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate ideas into wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct basic user research and gather requirements
    • Create user personas, journey maps, and user flows
    • Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
    • Design responsive interfaces for web and/or mobile applications
    • Improve usability and accessibility across platforms
    • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate design implementation
    • Iterate designs based on feedback and testing results
    • Maintain design systems and style guides

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
    • Basic understanding of UX principles and human-centered design
    • Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility best practices
    • Strong visual design skills (typography, layout, color theory)
    • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly
    • Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX projects (academic, personal, or professional)
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
