Volunteer UI/UX Designer

About the Role
We are looking for a Volunteer UI/UX Designer to help create intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design, usability, and solving real-world problems through thoughtful interfaces.
You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate ideas into wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct basic user research and gather requirements
- Create user personas, journey maps, and user flows
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Design responsive interfaces for web and/or mobile applications
- Improve usability and accessibility across platforms
- Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate design implementation
- Iterate designs based on feedback and testing results
- Maintain design systems and style guides
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Basic understanding of UX principles and human-centered design
- Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility best practices
- Strong visual design skills (typography, layout, color theory)
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly
- Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX projects (academic, personal, or professional)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
