    Description

    Bike for Life

    Description

Do you remember the joy of learning to ride a bike? At Bike for Life Camp, we get to share that joy with children of all abilities—helping them discover independence, confidence, and connection through cycling.

    What you'll do:

    • Be part of a team of 3 volunteers paired with a rider.
    • Cheer them on, offer encouragement, and celebrate each win!
    • Build a trusting relationship with your team and rider.
    • Support riders as they learn a life-long skill that can foster lifelong independence and community inclusion.

    No Experience Needed:

    • We provide a volunteer orientation before camp begins and have two adapted physical education teachers leading the way each day at camp!
    • All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to show up each day and support your rider.

    Time Commitment:

    • We ask that volunteers try to sign up for the same session each week so they can build a strong and trusting relationship with their rider, but we undertand that family and work schedules can be busy, so we will work around schedules when needed.

    Why It Matters

    • For kids, riding a bike is pure fun!
    • For adults, it can be a lifeline - Providng independence, physical health benefits, and a way to stay connected with friends, family, and the community.

Come join the fun! We will have a superhero day mid-week, and a celebratory bike parade on Friday to celebrate everyone's hard work!
