    Description

Food Rescuer - Edison & New Brunswick/Middlesex County, NJ

Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Every meal saved nourishes our community in need whilst also reducing the landfill waste and so helping the environment.

    The volunteer role would involve:

    • picking up meals from HMH JFK Medical Center cafeteria in Edison at 11am on a Tuesday and/or Friday, and
    • delivering these meals to our non-profit community partner, Elijah's Promise, in New Brunswick.

Each volunteer task will take approximately one hour including 9 mile travel time between donor and recipient. Volunteers will need to drive their own car. We welcome regular participation but will work with your schedule.
