    Job Title: Volunteer WooCommerce & WordPress Developer

    About Us:

    Delta Rising Foundation accelerates science-based systemic solutions as we evolve the art of sustainable culture. We are launching an online store for our plant nursery and are seeking a skilled WordPress and WooCommerce Developer to set up, integrate, and optimize our e-commerce platform.

    Role Summary:

    We are seeking a Volunteer WooCommerce & WordPress Developer to build and optimize our online store. This role involves managing the technical aspects of WordPress while ensuring the WooCommerce store functions seamlessly for product sales, user experience, and long-term growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up and configure WooCommerce within WordPress for our plant nursery store.
    • Build and customize WordPress pages to ensure smooth navigation and store integration.
    • Manage plugins and API integrations to extend functionality.
    • Implement SEO best practices across the site for visibility and discoverability.
    • Ensure website security, responsiveness, and performance optimization.
    • Collaborate with our team to maintain consistent branding and effective content presentation.

    Requirements:

    • Strong experience in WordPress development and customization.
    • Proven track record of setting up and managing WooCommerce stores.
    • Experience with API integration and plugin management.
    • Solid understanding of SEO optimization in WordPress.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, remote team.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with payment gateway integration and shipping setup.
    • Familiarity with WordPress themes, builders, and custom post types.
    • Knowledge of WooCommerce store management (inventory, orders, analytics).
    • Interest in sustainability, green businesses, or nonprofit e-commerce.
