    Help Immigrants with English

Who are we? Our program supports immigrant and refugee adults as they develop the English-speaking skills needed to succeed at work, at home and in the community.

What do our volunteers do? Volunteers have two roles, based on volunteer interest and program need: 1:1 tutoring or assisting with group classes. Volunteering takes place at Santa Clara City Libraries.

Do volunteers need to be teachers? No teaching experience needed. Training and materials are provided.

What languages do volunteers speak? Non-native speakers of English welcome. Speakers of Chinese, Spanish and Russian highly desired.

When do volunteers need to be available? Volunteers be available during weekday mornings or afternoons. We cannot currently accommodate volunteers in the evenings or on the weekend.
