Through our podcast work, we elevate stories, voices, and conversations that reflect culture, lived experience, and community impact.

    About PromiseStudios | PromisePod

    PromisePod is MAP’s podcast division within PromiseStudios, focused on storytelling, culture, and community voice. The podcast creates engaging, meaningful content that reflects the spirit of New York City and the mission of Mentor A Promise.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a Podcast Booking Agent to lead guest outreach, booking, and coordination for podcast episodes.

    This role is responsible for identifying compelling voices, securing guests, and ensuring a smooth booking and scheduling process—helping shape the quality and direction of each episode.

    Key Responsibilities

    Guest Research & Outreach

    • Identify potential podcast guests aligned with MAP’s mission and content themes
    • Conduct outreach to secure guests, including artists, community leaders, professionals, and storytellers
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential guests

    Booking & Coordination

    • Schedule and confirm guest appearances
    • Coordinate availability between hosts and guests
    • Ensure all booking details are organized and communicated clearly

    Pre-Interview Preparation

    • Share relevant information and expectations with guests
    • Coordinate pre-interview logistics and materials
    • Support preparation of guest briefs for hosts

    Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain positive relationships with guests and collaborators
    • Ensure a professional, respectful, and welcoming experience for all participants
    • Support follow-up communication after episodes

    Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Work closely with producers, hosts, and content teams
    • Align guest selection with episode themes and content direction
    • Coordinate with communications teams for promotional opportunities

    Tracking & Systems

    • Maintain organized records of outreach, bookings, and guest status
    • Track confirmed and potential guests
    • Support development of booking workflows and systems

    Communication & Responsiveness

    • Maintain timely, professional communication via email and Google Workspace
    • Ensure clear coordination across all stakeholders

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Strong communication and outreach skills
    • Ability to build relationships and engage with diverse individuals
    • Strong organizational and coordination skills
    • Reliability and attention to detail
    • Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values

    Preferred

    • Experience in podcasting, media, or talent coordination
    • Experience with outreach, booking, or partnerships
    • Interest in storytelling, culture, and community engagement
    • Familiarity with NYC creative or professional networks

    Commitment

    • Volunteer role
    • Approximately 5–10 hours per week
    • Minimum 6-month commitment required
    • Fully remote
