    Description

    A volunteer training is required. The direct care volunteer must possess the ability to actively listen and communicate with patients, families and caregivers at the end of life. He/She has to ability to work as a team with family members and the hospice staff. Must be dependable and have access to reliable transportation. There is an application process that will need completed prior to the volunteer starting to provide companionship & socialization with the patients.
