Description
The Social Media Marketer for Love Your Texture (LYT) helps tell the story of ethnic hair and skin care for youth in foster care, caregivers, and community partners across social platforms. This role plans, creates, and manages content that builds awareness, engages supporters, and drives participation in LYT programs, events, and giving opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the team to develop and manage a monthly social media content calendar aligned with LYT campaigns, workshops, and events (Instagram, Facebook, and any future platforms).
- Create engaging posts, reels, and stories that highlight LYT’s mission, program impact, and success stories while protecting youth privacy and following LYT’s media guidelines.
- Monitor comments, DMs, and tags; respond in a timely, professional way that reflects LYT’s voice, values, and faith‑rooted, community‑centered culture.
- Track and report basic metrics (reach, engagement, clicks, followers) and suggest improvements to grow and deepen audience engagement.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather photos (non‑identifying), testimonials, and updates that can be turned into content for campaigns and stories.
- Support digital campaigns for special initiatives (e.g., fundraising campaigns, workshop sign‑ups, volunteer recruitment, and more).
- Maintain consistent branding, tone, and visual style across all social channels, using approved logos, colors, and messaging.
- Stay informed about relevant trends in social media, ethnic hair and skin care, foster care advocacy, and faith‑based community work to keep content fresh and relevant.
