Hi Everyone, We’re gearing up for an important community effort, and your help would make a tremendous difference. Help Prepare the JAYCEE Arboretum & Senator Roch Riverwalk for the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony - We’re looking for Scouts BSA, Business & Corporate leaders, families, and community volunteers to assist with basic beautification and clean‑up at the award‑winning JAYCEE Corridor & Arboretum (est. 1998) and the Eagle Scout Entrance to the Senator Donald Roch Riverwalk (est. 1992). Volunteer Tasks Include: • Watering and weeding • Light raking and sweeping • Planting and fertilizing • General landscape refresh • Recreation area touch‑ups Your service will help honor this solemn day while keeping one of Rhode Island’s most meaningful community spaces looking its best. If you or your troop, company or agency can participate, please reply and let us know. All ages and backgrounds are welcome. Flexible Volunteer Scheduling to make participation easier for everyone. Available Volunteer Times: • Weekdays: Late afternoon and early evening (4 PM – 7:30 PM) • Saturdays: Early daytime (10 AM – 3 PM) These windows allow troops, families, and individual volunteers to drop in when they’re able and contribute meaningfully to the beautification effort. - Take Exit 11 (also marked as Route I-295 North)
- Take Exit 1 to Route 113 West
- Turn left at Route 2 South and drive for approximately .7 of a mile
- Turn right on to Route 115 West
- Follow Route 115/W on Providence Street for approximately two miles
- Continue on Route 115, take right before Royal Mills Rotary (Red Caboose)
- Access Hay Street 500 feet - turn right into Riverpoint COMMUNITY Park
From Route I-95 South:
- Take Exit 12B to Route 113 West
- Turn left at Route 2 South and drive for approximately .7 of a mile
- Turn right on to Route 115 West
- Follow Route 115/W on Providence Street for approximately two miles
- Continue on Route 115, take left around Royal Mills Rotary (Red Caboose)
