    Make Meals More Meaningful with Music

    Bring Comfort and Calm to Guests at Kathy’s House

    At Kathy’s House, dinner is more than just a meal—it’s a time for guests to slow down, connect, and find a sense of normalcy and peace. We’re looking for volunteer musicians to provide gentle, live background music during dinner to help create a relaxing, home-like atmosphere.

    Whether you play piano, acoustic guitar, violin, or another soft-sounding instrument, your music can offer comfort, joy, and a welcome distraction to guests facing stressful medical journeys.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Provide soothing, instrumental or vocal music during dinner (typically between 5:00–7:00 p.m.).
    • Choose calming, uplifting pieces that support a peaceful environment.
    • Play in a quiet, communal dining space—this is not a performance, but a background gift of comfort.
    • Solos or small acoustic groups are welcome.
