    Description

    Title: RSVP/VOA Bilingual Volunteer (Spanish Speaking)

    Supervisor: RSVP Manager & RSVP Program Specialist

    Key Responsibilities & Work Environment:

    • Assisting in translating services
      • At Community events with the RSVP Team
      • Organizational paper materials
    • Helping to connect with other minority communities in Larimer County and build relationships through communication, to meet them where they are at.

    Initial Impact:

    • Having a Spanish Speaker on our team will assist in RSVP Program growth and providing services to those in the community we have struggled to connect with due to a language barrier.
    • Making contact and building a strong relationship with minority groups we have lacked connection with in the past will better help us understand the demographic we are serving and create space for us to get more insight on how to better our services.

    Sustained Outcome:

    • Continuing to expand our services to all in Larimer County.

    Training & Support:

    • Training will take place in person and will be flexible based on your schedule.
    • 1-2 hours for training then ongoing communication with the RSVP Program for projects and events.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Fluent in Spanish & English
    • Some basic computer skills
    • Availability to sit for extended periods of time (2-3 hours with breaks available)
    • If accommodation is needed, that will be provided

    Time Commitment:

    • Looking for a 3-6 month commitment- Busier months will be in the summer/spring time.
    • Weekly commitment varies looking for 5-7 hours per month- very flexible position
