Volunteers will assist with organizing and cataloging the documents and audio-visual materials in the Hidden History Center collection. Our document cataloging involves sorting through boxes of intriguing historical records, placing related documents in files, and creating lists of the folder names, so that they can be entered into a searchable database. Our current emphasis is on audio-visual cataloging. This involves organizing our VHS tapes and audio cassettes, preparing them for digitizing. The materials in our collection are related to subjects like Capitalism, Civil Liberties, the Cold War, Intelligence Networks, Political Assassinations, Terrorism, and the Viet Nam War. Volunteers will work on-site with Director Marilyn Tenenoff, at 2915 North George Street, Suite 2, in York, PA. Volunteers can pick any three-hour shift between 1 PM and 5 PM, any day of the week, including weekends.
