    Description

Keep Hospice Patients and Their Pets Together!

Do you love your dog or cat? Then you know how important our pets are to us.

We are seeking volunteers who would like to help keep pets and their people together throughout their lives. When patients enter hospice care, the needs of their pets can be overlooked. As a volunteer with Allelon hospice, you can participate in promoting the health and happiness of both the pet and the pet parent.

Volunteer activities can range from dog walking to driving a pet to a vet or grooming appointment, from cleaning up after pets to giving one-on-one attention to a pet that may be confused by all the changes going on around them.

Some volunteer duties could include patient contact, while others are limited to pet care such as temporary fostering or assisting with pet rehoming. Following your hospice training, we will work with your schedule and match your duties with your interests.

Join us and let’s make the world a kinder place.
