    International Volunteer Teachers – Meaford Nursery & Primary School, Uganda

    Make a Difference Through Education in Uganda

    Front Aid Foundation (FAF) is seeking 3 international volunteer teachers to join our team at Meaford Nursery & Primary School, a community school owned and operated by Front Aid Foundation in Buwambo, Wakiso District, Uganda.

    This is an opportunity for passionate educators, teaching students, recent graduates, and education professionals who want to experience Uganda while contributing directly to children’s education and development.

    📍 Location

    Buwambo, Wakiso District, Uganda

    Meaford Nursery & Primary School is located in a friendly community environment outside Kampala. Volunteers will have the opportunity to experience Ugandan culture, participate in school activities, and interact with students, teachers, and the local community.

    👩‍🏫 Volunteer Positions

    We are looking for 3 international volunteer teachers to support our school.

    Volunteers may assist with:

    • Teaching lessons according to their skills and experience
    • Supporting classroom teachers
    • English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and other subjects
    • Creative activities, arts, sports and extracurricular activities
    • Helping students develop confidence, communication and teamwork skills
    • Supporting reading and learning activities
    • Sharing knowledge and teaching methods from their home countries
    • Participating in school and community activities
    • Encouraging cross-cultural learning between Ugandan students and international volunteers

    We welcome volunteers with formal teaching qualifications as well as students, recent graduates and experienced educators with a strong interest in working with children.

    🏫 About Meaford Nursery & Primary School

    Meaford Nursery & Primary School is owned and run by Front Aid Foundation, a Ugandan community organization working to improve opportunities for children, young people and vulnerable communities.

    Our goal is to provide children with a safe, supportive and friendly learning environment where they can develop academically and personally.

    International volunteers become part of the school community and work alongside local teachers.

    🏠 Accommodation & Meals

    Volunteers receive:

    • Accommodation at the school
    • 3 meals per day
    • A friendly and welcoming school environment
    • Opportunity to experience Ugandan culture and community life
    • Support from Front Aid Foundation staff throughout the placement

    Accommodation is provided on-site, making it convenient for volunteers to participate in school activities and interact with the school community.

    🔐 Safety & Security

    Volunteer safety is one of our priorities.

    The school has 24-hour camera surveillance, and volunteers stay within the school environment. Front Aid Foundation staff are available to support volunteers during their placement.

    We also provide orientation to help international volunteers understand the local community, culture and daily routines.

    Teaching qualifications or previous classroom experience are an advantage but are not the only criteria. We are also interested in motivated volunteers who have relevant skills, enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to supporting children.

    This opportunity is open year-round.

    Volunteers can discuss their preferred dates and length of stay with Front Aid Foundation.
