ESOL Conversation Group Facilitators Needed (Must be 55+)

Join the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program (must be 55+) -

We are seeking volunteer English Conversation Group Facilitators to support adult English learners during the summer conversation program. Conversation groups will take place online once a week from 6:30–8:30 pm during July and August. Volunteers will help create a welcoming and supportive environment where students can practice speaking and listening skills, improve pronunciation, expand vocabulary, and build confidence using English in everyday situations.

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Facilitate weekly online English conversation groups for adult learners
• Encourage students to participate actively in discussions
• Help create a welcoming, supportive, and respectful learning environment
• Support students as they build confidence using English
• Keep track of student attendance and communicate any concerns with program staff

Volunteer Qualifications

• Patient, encouraging, and comfortable working with adult learners
• Comfortable using Zoom and basic technology tools
• Able to commit to one weekly session during July and August
• Teaching experience is welcome but not required
