    Students are trained and oriented through the Volunteer Services Department. Mentors/Supervisors are in the area of internship/rotation. Education Affiliation arrangements are required for those students seeking academic credit at their school.

    Description

    VITAS Healthcare, a leading provider of hospice care, offers experiential learning opportunities for students seeking Internships, Preceptorships, Practicums, Clinical rotations and more. College/University/Technical School students seeking experience in the fields of social work, nursing, nurse practitioner, physician fellowships, business, management, community relations, healthcare sales/marketing, program leadership, healthcare improvement, administration, music therapy, clinical pastoral education, and more. VITAS welcomes our next generation of professionals to gain hands on experience working with patients, families, administrators and managers. Those seeking college/university course credit in conjunction with a school's program should begin the process early so that appropriate education affiliation agreements can be made with their school. This program is available year round.
