Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community while making a genuine difference in someone's life?
As an Alpha Omega Hospice Patient Volunteer, you'll become an important part of a patient's care team by offering companionship, support, and a caring presence to individuals facing serious illness.

What Do Volunteers Do?
Provide companionship through:
- Conversation and life-story sharing
- Reading, music, games, and activities
- Watching television together
- Listening and offering emotional support
- Simply being a caring presence
No healthcare or volunteer experience is required.
Volunteer Commitment
- Flexible scheduling
- Visit 1 time per week or 2 times per month
- Typical visits last 30–60 minutes
- Volunteer opportunities available near your preferred area
What We Provide
- One-on-one patient matching within approximately 15 minutes of your preferred location
- Volunteer Coordinator accompaniment on your first visit
- Ongoing support and guidance
- Comprehensive training provided at no cost
