Hello!
Do you have a pet therapy animal you would like to share with a hospice patient?
we are currently looking for volunteers who also have a pet therapy animal to take to visit patients. Many of our population have had to give up a beloved pet to go into a facility, or they can no longer care for a pet. They still love and miss them. What better way to brighten their days than with some puppy kisses?
If you own a pet therapy animal, and would like to make the day of a terminally ill patient, then let's talk!
To be considered for the volunteer postion:
- fill out an application
- consent to a background check
- take and pass a drug and TB test
- take the on line Relias courses to help prepair for your new journey
- meet for an orientation
- make a copy of your pet's vaccine record and pet therapy papers.
