    2025-2026 In-Person BookPALS Volunteer

    Children's Literacy Network’s beloved in-person BookPALS program is back for the 2025-2026 school year in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti - and we need YOU to help bring the joy of reading to life!

    Every other week, BookPALS volunteers spark excitement and build confidence in local 2nd and 3rd grade students, all while supporting essential literacy skills through fun, meaningful reading experiences.

    • Be part of a fun, rewarding, and impactful program that schools and students adore!

    When & Where?

    We’re looking for volunteers to join us Mondays through Thursdays, during the school day, in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti elementary schools. You can volunteer for just 1-2 hours a week - a small time commitment with a big impact!

    All books and materials are provided - we just need YOU!

    No teaching experience? No problem! We provide full training.

    To begin the volunteer process please complete the short, two-part Volunteer Information Form and a CLN staff member will be in contact soon!
