    Description

    Millions 4 Menopause 5K

Mpowered Menopause | Remote / New York City area | Flexible, part-time

    About Us

Mpowered Menopause is a nonprofit igniting a movement to empower, inform, and support women experiencing menopause. We fund groundbreaking research and work to break the silence around menopause through advocacy, education, and community engagement.

    About the Role

We're looking for a motivated volunteer to help build political support for the Millions 4 Menopause 5K, our signature fundraising and awareness event happening October 3, 2026, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. This role focuses on outreach to elected officials, local government offices, and policy advocates to build visibility and support for menopause research and awareness at the political level.

    What You'll Do

    • Make outreach calls and send emails to local, state, and federal offices to build awareness of the event and our mission
    • Help identify and prioritize elected officials and political stakeholders who may be interested in supporting menopause research and women's health policy
    • Track outreach and responses, and follow up as needed
    • Help coordinate any confirmed participation (statements, proclamations, attendance, etc.)
    • Collaborate with our team on messaging and talking points

    Who You Are

    • Comfortable making phone calls and writing professional emails
    • Interested in women's health, public policy, or advocacy
    • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing a list of contacts
    • Prior experience in advocacy, campaigns, government relations, or community organizing is a plus but not required
    • Passionate about breaking the stigma around menopause and improving women's health outcomes

    Time Commitment

Flexible — a few hours per week through early October, with the ability to work around your schedule.

    What You'll Gain

Direct experience in advocacy and political outreach, a chance to help launch a growing national movement, and the satisfaction of helping close a major gap in women's health research funding.
