Hospice Compassus is looking for compassionate caring people to help terminally ill patients and families who can be there at the end of life.
The potential volunteer who is considering participating within this program should be comfortable around death and dying. Most imprtantly, Vigil Volunteers must be able to meet the unique needs of the patient and family by offering a calming presence. We are esecially looking for volunteers available on short notice to provide 2-4 hour shifts. The volunteer's geographic distance of your residence will be taking into consideration. Hospice Compassus provides support in the following counties: Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.
The Hospice Compassus volunteer program will provide training through the patient care, and the vigil orientations. The training is provided free of charge to help you learn the required steps to be an outstanding hospice volunteer. The times and date for the training are ongoing, and flexible.
Please reach out to our volunteer coordinator Kathleen OConnor (215 557 7300) with any questions, or how to onboard to become a volunteer.
